Mini Soccer is a wonderful introduction to the game of soccer for children. SNCC provides the outdoor Timbits Soccer program for the U3 - U7 age groups. Mini soccer focuses on physical activity, fair play and having fun.

Please note there will be two payments within the RAMP Registration system if you have not already paid your MSA Player fees. The first will be paid to MSA the second to SNCC.
Spring 2026 Timbits Mini Soccer
Timbits Parent & Tot Soccer (U3) – Where Little Feet Start Big Dreams!
Looking for a fun way to bond with your toddler while introducing them to sports? Our U3 Parent & Tot Timbits Soccer Program is the perfect first step!
Designed for children ages 2–3, this engaging program focuses on:
🟢 Basic motor skills (running, balancing, kicking)
🟢 Listening and following simple instructions
🟢 Social interaction and teamwork
🟢 Confidence building through play
Parents participate alongside their child, creating a supportive and encouraging environment filled with smiles, high-fives, and lots of goals!
Sessions run 30–45 minutes, with an emphasis on movement (about 80%) and simple soccer activities (20%), typically featuring 1v1 or small-sided games without goalies.
Season: Spring 2026 (May & June - start date dependent on weather)

This program gives young players the chance to build essential movement skills—running, jumping, landing, kicking, throwing, and catching—through fun, informal play and positive reinforcement. The focus is on physical literacy and overall movement development, not competition or tactics.
Sessions are balanced to include:
25% general movement activities
25% coordination skills (balance, stopping, changing direction)
25% basic soccer techniques (dribbling, turning, shooting)
25% small-sided games (1v1 or 3v3, no goalkeepers)
The emphasis is on fun, confidence, and foundational skill development.
Season: Spring 2026 (May & June - start date dependent on weather)

Session Length: 60 minutes
Location: St. Norbert Community Centre Mini Soccer Fields (Behind Arena)
Games are hosted in the month of May and June, weather and field conditions permitting. All practices/ games will be played on the mini-soccer fields behind the SNCC.
All players are required to wear shin guards and are recommended to play in soccer shoes and shorts. All participants will receive a Tim Horton’s jersey, which is to be returned at the end of the season.
Without Volunteer coaches the season is not possible. Please consider volunteering your time to help make our Timbits Soccer Program successful.
Head coaches - (8 needed) will be responsible for setting up and running ONE station each practice. The Head coach will stay at their designated station and repeat the same activity with each of the group as the players rotate through the stations. Head coaches are NOT responsible for planning practices, pre-made lesson plans provided by the Manitoba Soccer Association will be used and distributed to head coaches at the beginning of the season.
Assistant coaches (16 needed) will be assigned to a group of players and will move with their child's group from station to station. Providing players support, directions and encouragement as they participate in each of the 4 stations. Assistant coaches will also help with supervising the scrimmage at the end of each session.
At least one parent or guardian must accompany the child and remain on site for the duration of the game.
Heavy rain may impact the field condition but SNCC staff will advise the convener of field condition as far in advance as possible.
SNCC follows WYSA's weather cancellation policies so you can also check WYSA's website to get updates on game cancellations. Lighting in the vicinity is cause for immediate cancellation at any point in the evening. The Mini Soccer Convenor may also cancel games if he/she deems it necessary.
Safety / Hygiene Issues
Parents must supply their children with water in a reusable water bottle for all games and practices.
All players are required to bring their uniforms and wear their shin guards to each practice and game. Soccer shoes, socks and shorts are recommended. Hats and jewellery are not recommended, they will be asked to remove the items prior to playing.
Mosquito repellent and sunblock is recommended.
If players bring their own ball to practice, please make sure it is labelled with their full name. The SNCC does not take responsibility for lost or stolen soccer balls.

Registration Help
For the online registration process, parents will need to create a RAMP account if you don’t already have one. Registration instructions will be shown during the session. Parents can add their kids’ information into their profile then can register them for the program.

Withdrawal
Withdrawing a participant from the program must do so before the start of the second week of the program. There will be a $15.00 cancellation fee with the balance of the registration fee reimbursed to the parent listed on the form. The MSA fee is non -refundable
